Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, OR
  • 2-year college degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field AND 2 years relevant work experience, OR
  • A combination of equivalent work experience and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of new functionality
  • Establishment of business practices as a key member in a small, tightly knit development team
  • Should have experience making decisions and working both independently and also as part of a small, dynamic team where everything you do makes a difference.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

  • Must have 5 years of experience in a relevant industry vertical (Document management, imaging, accounting and/or workflow.)
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in Business Analysis practice
  • Must have proven proficiency / mastery of basic Business Analyst competencies
  • Ability to formulate concepts; communication of technical information to a non-technical audience; communication of business information to a technical audience.
  • Knowledge of business processes; ability to have a business-oriented vision; case development; business writing; modeling techniques.
  • Analytical and conceptual expertise; documentation, analysis and business requirements management techniques; object-oriented analysis; evaluation of profitability/risk; testing, verification and validation techniques.
  • Experience writing user acceptance test scenarios, and executing those scenarios to ensure they meet the user requests

Optional experience but extremely desirable:

  • Experience in Reporting/ Business Intelligence suites and application integration is an asset.
  • Experience in Data Retrieval & Analysis from application databases is an asset.
  • Knowledge of both traditional waterfall and Agile project methodologies is an asset.
  • Practical knowledge and experience working with an Agile environment is an asset

  • Deal with complex and ambiguous situations
  • Experience with more than one of the following: document management, imaging, or workflow applications
