How to get the most out of your system

  • Whether it is classroom or online training, PakEnergy helps your accounting department get up to speed with features, processes and tips & tricks for using the software in day-to-day operations. We provide these classes at no charge, for users who attend within 60 days of system purchase.
  • Users with an active customer support agreement can send a user to class or through online training at no charge with the purchase of additional user licenses.
  • Active customers can send users for a refresher course or send new employee(s) to classroom or online at a discounted rate without increasing license size.
  • Additionally, on-site training at your physical location is available for an additional cost.

Courses Descriptions

Set up employees, earnings, and deductions, taxes, 401K, workers’ compensation. Process a payroll cycle, including printing checks and creating G/L entries. Print historical reports.

Pak Accounting screens, fields and keyboard use. Learn company setup and maintenance. Hands-on practice setting up the chart of accts, entering transactions using unposted entries maintenance; plus, how to post, unpost, and change entries. Explore how to import & print financial statements, and using the power of grid technology. Learn about the power of View/Trend query of transactions & changing posted entries, filtering and viewing by sub account. Learn how to "drill down" to transactions in Financial Reporting and an overview of how Financial Groups work.

Accounts PayableBasic entry and use of the A/P system. Covers setup, vendor tables, printing and re-printing checks.

Bank Reconciliation: Learn how to reconcile your bank statement to your general ledger using the bank reconciliation system.

Accounts Receivable and Quick Deposit: Use the Deposit Entry system to receive payments and apply them to customer accounts. Use Accounts Receivable to print statements and aging reports.

Oil & Gas Check Stub Entry Entry (Thursday morning): Setup new leases, purchasers' and division orders. Enter information from purchaser check stubs, cross-referencing, reports, and post to G/L and Revenue.

Joint Interest Billing & Revenue Disbursement (Thursday afternoon and Friday): Maintaining owner information including: address, suspense, division of interest, and netting information. How to setup AFE’s, automated overhead entries and maintain lease information. Run a complete JIB/Revenue cycle including printing checks and owner reports.
